There is a difference between Microsoft Outlook Express and Full Outlook, be specific and choose one NOT both, using both only confuses matters.
Follow the applicable tutorial completely to the end to make sure all setting have been completed properly
- If you are receiving emails but can not get email, most likely it's because you did not complete the tutorial and have not set up your outgoing mail. Make sure you have checked "My outgoing mail requires authentication" and if applicable, "use the same settings as my incoming mail".
- Passwords are case sensative, it's recommended you copy and paste the password from the email you received in order to minimize potential typing mistakes. Also make sure the "Save Pasword" box is checked.
- The tutorials are guides only, there are many different versions of Outlook as well as many other mail clients available, so yours may very well look completely different from the examples giving in the tutorial. However, most if not all of the settings are somewhere and need to be accounted for especially your: username, email address, password, incoming & outgoing mail server, and outgoing mail authentication settings.
- In some rare cases Outlook will not save your settings, even if the save password and settings boxes are checked. If these cases you might have to make sure your mail client is up to date with the latest upgrades and in some cases may require reinstallation. If Outlook is not saving your settings and you are certain it's set up properly it's recommended you consult an expert to resolve the problem as reistallation could result in loss of email and settings.
